These are the class icons I designed for Pirate101. Originally, the class icons were designed around the stylized skull to visually relate to the classic Jolly Roger symbol that is commonly associated with pirates. I made male and female versions of each class icon, which we then used in the Character Creation screen. Later, it was decided to change the icons to something more symbolic, so I designed new icons based on those new parameters. The updated designs allowed me to simplify the icons so that they could be easily read at a smaller size and made them more recognizable. However, the original class icons had a lot of personality, so they remained in the character creation screen. They were also added to the fan web asset pack, allowing fans of the game to use them in their own websites.
