MONOPOLY TOKENS
Illustration
The tokens used in MONOPOLY Slots were designed to look like the pewter ones that come in the physical board game. Players would use these as profile avatars, and the tokens were often given as rewards for completing event quests. The tokens were painted in Photoshop and then brought into Unity. A shader was used in-game to tint the tokens using a gradient map to make other material types , such as gold and ruby, in order to add more variety to the tokens. I created a Photoshop template that would use specific shades of gray for the rendering that would match the gradient ramps we used for tinting. This produced more reliable results in the tinting process and greatly enhanced the overall appearance. Below is a selection of the total number of tokens that I created.
